New year, New website, New secretary, New members, New initiatives, New policies and New blogs. But we will never be New labour, New Tory/UKIP or New Lib Dem.

We at the Popular Alliance hope you enjoy the new look website and we hope that you won’t experience the problems we had last year with constant downtime and lack of activity due to various problems which should now be resolved.

We are holding our first AGM on the 27th January, and we will have new members to welcome to the Popular Alliance. We also have a new party secretary who has proved her worth as both being extremely efficient, a great organiser, politically savvy and a great designer of media.

Liz has been in the thick of some tough discussions yet has always managed to put a smile on our faces when things got a little hot.

Therefore I would like to welcome Liz Gilchrist to the post of party secretary and I am sure I can speak for all members and wish her well in this new role.

Now back to business:

We see today that Labour is as soft as the hug a hoody Tories with calls to only jail the most serious offenders ? We have to ask, “just what is serious”, if your elderly and a burglar breaks in to the house, it happens that some get so stressed after the attack, they really never recover and suffer serious medical problems sometimes leading to death.

But what the soft politically correct appeasers want, is for the scum to be allowed out and about, with worthless unworkable electronic tags so they can commit more misery for the long suffering British public. You can rest assured though, if you protest and don’t pay your council tax, you will be banged up before you know it, feet hardly touching the floor. So is this offence classed as “serious” we will have to ask Blair and his soft on crime foolish cronies.

We also have the police who are reviewing stop and search policies amid fears they are damaging community relations, a senior officer has confirmed.

Commander Richard Gargini said the Association of Chief Police Officers wanted searches to be led more by intelligence than "appearance". He said he was working with Metropolitan Police to develop a more sensitive approach.

What this really means is, they are going to be more "sensitive" to shady looking characters lurking in dark area’s so they don't fill John Rieds prisons up, or maybe they do not wish to upset the politically correct brigade by searching too many ethnic minorities, no doubt the muslim extremist “community” will be breathing a sigh of relief at this latest opportunity to get out and about without fear of having their collars felt.

As you will read HERE , this initiative is really another appeasement to the muslim “community”, yet with the Channel 4 dispatches program showing us all what the “community” really think of us, you have to wonder if the insane are running the asylum.
