The European Parliament is for the first time ever set to vote for EU-wide criminal penalties – including imprisonment – for crimes breaching intellectual property rights, but critics say the proposal is badly drafted and would affect millions of young Europeans including MEPs' own teenagers.
What is your teenage son, daughter or grandchild doing on the internet today? . Many are doing homework, researching the internet or downloading music and watching video from Youtube or other media websites.
Do you know what they are downloading? , well you had certainly better find out pretty damn quick, because the European Union is going imprison them.
What is being described as the most ill thought out piece of legislation ever to come out of the EU as well as being called a draconian threat to civil liberties is now being proposed by the EU. They are introducing criminal measures aimed at ensuring the enforcement of intellectual property rights across the 27-member bloc.
Anyone anywhere who has an old piece of pirated software, video, music will risk imprisonment and this could have an adverse affect for millions of websites and political forums who have used or copied pictures, graphics, media and text without the owners consent.
If anyone is foolish enough to believe the liars of our government, or the un-elected fraudulent criminals of the EU that they do not wish to create a European super state, then think again. The legislation comes after the European Commission in April 2006 put forward a proposal for an EU-wide law in the area and is the first piece of EU draft legislation seeking to “harmonise national criminal law in the union”.
The Popular Alliance does not condone pirating in any way, but we do believe that any legislation must tackle the organised criminals who do this on an industrial scale, including those who copy medicines and put sick patients at risk, and this must be done in co-operation with other nations such as the US, Russia, China and Europe.
The EU is targeting the soft targets, to make money from heavy fines of course, whilst it can do nothing about the real criminals who will remain out of reach in countries such as Russia and China who will continue to flood pirated and copied goods into Europe.
We all know that the EU is one of the most corrupt organisations of modern times with billions going missing every year, and along with the audit office refusing to sign off the accounts due to massive fraud on a staggering multi billion pound scale, they have the audacity to try and force through Super state EU wide laws when they cannot even get their own corrupt house in order.
Blair and his no hopers want much more of this sort of thing, a UK that does not have to make laws and can leave it to un-elected dictators. He has already said we cannot have a referendum of the constitution after we were promised and now German chancellor Angela Merkel has indicated Berlin is going to leave as much of the EU constitution intact as possible making only the minimum changes needed to get sceptical nations such as the UK, Poland and the Czech Republic on board.
The Popular Alliance ask you all ( no matter which party you serve or follow ) to DEMAND a referendum on withdrawal from the EU, tell these prostrating UK Euro loving politicians that we want to make our own laws, and that we would do a better job of it as an independent self governing nation.
Lets tell Merkel, Blair, Cameron, Ming and all the other undemocratic crackpots to shove it where the sun don’t shine.

'Today Craig Chapman and Brian Buxton set up their election table in the Shopping Precinct in Stretton, Burton upon Trent.
They are both candidates for the local council, standing, of course, under the Popular Alliance banner.
The past fortnight has been spent delivering leaflets to every house in Stretton, and today was the follow-up to explain to people what Popular Alliance was about, and what it stood for, to see how they felt about the political situation generally and to listen carefully to their views.
The day went exceedingly well, with some very constructive and positive conversations with voters, which reinforce the views and interest from householders 'on the doorstep'.
Due to Staffordshire County Council proposing to close our residential homes and day-care centres, feelings are running very high against Labour councillors, and if one were to make a guess, it looks as though they may be in for a good hiding.

Lies, Lies and more Lies, yet again, Blair has reneged on a promise to the people of allowing a referendum on the EU constitution.
Today it was reported, but widely known by many EU sceptics for some time, that Blair was planning to give away our democratic right for the referendum before he leaves his disgraced and failed premiership.
We all remember the pledge that there will be no bringing in of parts of the constitution "through the back door", by Blair’s puppet John Prescott, but low and behold, the liars of Westminster have bowed to their real masters in Europe and are going to force through a new “treaty” which is basically a constitution with a few minor bits missing.
At prime minister's question time this week it was said: "Four years ago the prime minister said we needed a proper constitution for Europe, but on Monday he said we didn't need a constitution but we had to have a new treaty."
The Popular Alliance say, “ We don’t need nor want a new treaty”, we would put the issue of Europe to the British people in a referendum - in line with our general policy of trusting the British people, not politicians, to take the key decisions about our future as nation by allowing - indeed encouraging - referendums on key issues.
We believe that this simple question should be put to the British people: “Should Britain remain in the European Union?”
The last referendum in 1975 was unfair. The government of the day lied about the powers that would be given away to undemocratic E.U institutions and they poured money into getting a ‘Yes’ vote.
We are confident that once all the arguments and facts about our E.U membership are set before the British people and discussed by them, that they would vote to leave the E.U, but we would respect the referendum result, whatever it was.

We now all know, once and for all, we cannot trust any of them, neither Labour, Tory or Lib Dem, they are all just self serving career politicians who hold our views and wishes in utter contempt and take their orders from a corrupt fraudulent regime called the European Union.

CARE HOMES MARCH.
The battle to keep the Residential Care Homes and Day Centres open in Burton upon Trent and Staffordshire goes on unabated, with the members of R.A.G.E. determined to win.
Yesterday, Saturday 14th.April , Brian Buxton, Leader of the Popular Alliance joined local members in a march through the town centre to show that the fight goes on.
He again stated that Popular Alliance were fully committed to giving them total support and to help in any way possible.

CRIMINAL WASTE.
Recently we learned that due to incompetence and a very badly run ministry, we the taxpayers are once again going to pay the bill.
DEFRA then under the leadership of Mrs Beckett MP, completely fouled up the Single Farm Payments to our farmers causing great hardship and forcing many to take up expensive bridging loans. After many months they eventually got paid.
The European Union then saw a chance to sting us again, and for breaking "their" rules intend to fine the U.K. between £300 and £500 million.
Popular Alliance calls this criminal waste and negligence.
We now find out that Mr Brown, who between 1999 and 2002 Sold 400tons of our gold bullion, not his, ours, ignoring the professional advise of the Bank of England that the price was at an all time low. This has now cost us £2 Billion.

The Government and Tony Blair know no bounds when showing contempt for the British public.
Again the No 10 petition website is being abused and the government is trying to stop a petition asking for the "naming and sacking" of whoever authorised the sale of the captured sailors stories to the press.
The government have already put a reply saying:
“The Prime Minister has already made it clear that he recognises that the Navy were trying to deal with a wholly exceptional situation. He has no intention of engaging in a witchhunt against people who acted honourably and in good faith in very difficult circumstances”
Yet the petition does not end until 12 June 2007 which is when the Prime Minister is supposed to evaluate the petition and give a reply to all those who have petitioned him.
It looks like the government doesn’t want us to know who the culprit(s) were, and there may be someone above the master of disaster Des Browne who is already involved in this “breathtaking” decision.
The petition which may be found HERE has already been signed by 3400 plus people and is obviously worrying the government enough for them to try and defuse the situation before another humiliating million plus petition becomes big news again.
We are urging all readers to visit the petition and sign it, lets show this government we are not going to be fobbed off yet again and we require answers not only as to who authorised the sale of the stories, but details of the botched operation which put our people in this situation in the first place.
The Popular Alliance main question to this whole sickening affair has to be: “where was the helicopter support, and have our soft and spineless government changed the rules of engagement to stop our forces firing warning shots in designated dispute zones?”
And now a further question of, "why has the government decided to reply to this petition before its end date, what are they hiding, and why are they so worried about it"
