County Council Result PDF Print E-mail

The leader of the Popular Alliance, Brian Buxton stood in the County Council Election for East Staffordshire- Horninglow and Stretton.

Despite the fact that he was up against the big party machines and an ex Tory Councillor who became an Independant he achieved a very respectable 437 votes. (10% share) There was also a huge surge of people voting for the Tories to guarantee Labour got a bloody nose which did the Popular Alliance no favours.

However, this is a good platform and one that we should be proud of.

All we need now is for the general public to realise that they should start looking beyond the tree main traditional parties.

We should vote for what we believe in and if we cannot find it in the Tories, Labour or the Liberal Democrats then we should all look elsewhere.

Politicians who have never had a real job

In response to another rat deserting the sinking ship Peter Kilfoyle MP
says of /James Purnell/, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, that
he has never had a real job in his life.

It is sad how many of the present government and those of potential
replacement governments are in this position.

Can we say that the days of the career politician are over? Let us hope so.

Is it really possible that we could have a Milliband or Balls, ex
political analysts, as a leader of this once great country?

Where is the business, or even lifetime experience of these characters
who are expected to provide the leadership of the country? Non existent!!
Our process for choosing our MP's and leaders is long overdue for a real
and dramatic change for the future of this great country.

The government constantly spins us rubbish that it is trying to save the
car industry. We can say without dispute they have no clue how to do
this.

It is really very simple, government departments should only buy products
built in this country.  FULL STOP.

Immediately saves LDV and discourages GM for pulling out of the UK,

Simple.

Prince of Darkness

Gordon now knows that when you sell your soul to the devil there will be a payback. He gambled on bringing Mandelson back to save his position which backfired so badly. This was one of the worst decisions he made and affected the country badly, indeed creating this period of Darkness. This shows without doubt that there is no loyalty in political circles.

As the gaggle of pretenders shuffle themselves around still spouting “New Labour” speak in a closed shop environment for the leadership contest, it has to be asked what real choice do the Labour faithful have?

It is now time for a total rethink about British politics and how we are governed. We can only hope that the days of Spin and manipulation are over!! Pigs might Fly!!
