Welcome PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to the Popular Alliance, we are a full policy political party with a constitution and set of aims which we believe are broadly in-line with the majority of the United Kingdom.

We also invite you to watch this latest scandal happening on a daily basis within the corrupt and fraudulent EU. We believe this disgraceful behaviour of ripping off the taxpayer is deeply entrenched within the EU and more worryingly has spread to Westminster with ministers and politicians committing what we believe to be criminal behaviour.

Ireland crushes Europe PDF Print E-mail
The Popular Alliance are pleased to announce some fantastic news for everyone in Europe, in that, the Irish have spoken (Very Loudly) and told the criminal, fraudulent, corrupt and undemocratic EU to stick it where the sun does not shine.

Due to a long standing law, such matters must go to a democratic referendum in Ireland, and these are a people who will not be taken as fools.

This has been as much an Irish statement against being bullied as it is against the Lisbon “constitution” Treaty itself.

Ireland has generally fared well from EU hand outs in the past, and the faceless Brussels mafia will now be spitting feathers for having it's nose being put so far out of shape.

Quite where this leaves the manifesto liar Brown and his arrogant undemocratic UK Government remain to be seen, but no doubt he will dig himself further into the mire and hopefully be walking with even more of sag should Stuart Wheeler win his court case and force the government to hold a referendum in the UK

No doubt Kommander Merkel will be barking out the orders tonight, but we believe the Irish are made of sterner stuff than the bend over backwards Brown and his generous expense claiming fiends.

To quote from Todays News reports .......

Ireland has rejected the EU reform treaty, politicians said based on a wave of returns from the referendum on the issue.

Tallies of votes produced nationally by election observers, as well as early official returns, all showed the "no" camp ahead in the vast majority of Ireland's 43 electoral constituencies. Pro-treaty voters were clearly ahead in only a few.

Electoral officials expected to confirm the result later and send shock waves throughout the EU.

The Euro fell to a one-month low on the news.

Irish Justice Minister Dermot Ahern said he expected all other 26 EU members to ratify the Lisbon Treaty through their national parliaments by the end of this year.

This would leave Ireland - the only member to put the mammoth, often-unreadable document to a national vote - diplomatically isolated but nonetheless wielding the power to prevent the treaty from becoming law and forcing a period of renewed negotiations.

"Obviously it's disappointing. It's quite clear there's a very substantial 'no' vote," said Mr Ahern, who noted that 58% of voters rejected the treaty in his home district.

"If we're left as the only country that has not ratified the treaty, it will obviously raise questions.

We're in uncharted waters," he said.

The outcome appears likely to throw the EU into renewed diplomatic turmoil and fuel appeals across the continent for more democratic accountability.

The Lisbon Treaty was painstakingly negotiated following the failure of the EU's proposed constitution, which French and Dutch voters rejected in 2005. Both documents sought to reshape EU powers and institutions in line with its rapid growth in size and population since 2004.

Referendum Court Challenge PDF Print E-mail
wheelerA millionaire has won permission to launch a High Court challenge to the Government's refusal to hold a referendum on the EU Reform Treaty.

Businessman Stuart Wheeler, a major Conservative Party donor, claimed he had "a legitimate expectation" that Gordon Brown would hold a vote on the Lisbon Treaty and the decision to go back on their promise should be declared unlawful.

Mr Justice Owen ruled that Mr Wheeler, 73, had "an arguable case" that should go to a full hearing.

Mr Wheeler made more than £30m from spread-betting firm IG Index and raised £150,000 from 150 donors to pay for his High Court battle.

He said: "I am absolutely delighted that we won the case".

Full story may be found HERE

On a further take on this story, it would appear that a supposedly anti EU political nasty party is rather miffed that this wheeler chap has the audacity to legally challenge the establishment, they say on their nasty website

“A breakthrough on the block on legal challenges to the government over the EU? Or a red herring that may waste a little time, and swallow up precious resources allowing the establishment to call a biased referendum to complete our captivity. Remember, any such referendum would be in contradiction of our own constitutional laws.”

“Why? Because our constitution prevents anyone from giving away our freedom. And one generation making a decision that would enslave the next is certainly not acceptable. In other words each and every one of the EU Treaties is by British Law illegal. The problem is that the Courts no longer obey Laws that the establishment find inconvenient.”

take a long hard look at the last line “The problem is that the Courts no longer obey Laws that the establishment find inconvenient.” ???......

It is for that reason we suspect wheeler is challenging those laws and so far he has been successful, and who knows what will happen in this uncertain political climate, the courts often smash the government proposals and ill thought out policies on crime, immigration by throwing human rights and other nonsense back at the government, just maybe, this guy may get lucky, not forgetting opening a can of worms for the fence sitting no policy Cameron.

Should Wheeler be successful, then the EU will become paralysed once more, and just maybe, the penny will drop when the politicians start tearing themselves apart and start asking should we ask the ultimate question, In or Out.

Our only conclusion to the nasty “pro EU” BNP is that they don't want to be isolated from their far right chums in France, Germany and Italy who are dreaming of the day they can huddle together, wear long leather coats, sing songs and form the European wide forth Reich.

Go Green and Get Mugged PDF Print E-mail
conjestionIf you have ANY doubts about how serious the politicians or councils are about tackling climate change then this story should provide the proof that some of us already suspected.

Climate change (although it exists) is just an excuse to raise as much revenue from ordinary people as it possibly can. Cities that adopt the London model of congestion charging will follow suit in offering no discounts for people who make the effort and convert to low carbon fuels.

Councils up and down the country are shipping your “green” waste to china for enormous financial returns, yet they still want to introduce the refuse charging on top of the council tax to encourage us to go green. They say they will offset this by lowering council tax to those who comply and recycle waste and make it a tax neutral system

If these boneheads now think we believe this deliberate lie, then we suggest they think again.

Removing the discount for LPG vehicles is not a good move, if they do this, then, they show they are only interested in taxing us, so if this is the case, why bother recycling or buying a fuel efficient car or even converting your vehicle, you may as well just carry on as before.

Popular Alliance can only say this about the career clowns who make up these insane policies, DON'T TRUST THEM, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR VALUABLE VOTE, they are ALL lying to you.

Please read the following report, the link to the item may be found HERE

LPG cars lose C-charge discount

The discount will be phased out by 2010

Motorists who converted their cars to use environmentally friendlier fuels to avoid paying the congestion charge could lose their exemption.

Transport for London (TfL) has announced plans to phase-out the Alternative Fuel Discount (AFD).

But the move would only affect a "very small number of car owners," a TfL spokesman said.

Vehicles running on fuels such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) will be affected by the proposed change.

TfL plans to stop offering the 100% discount completely by 2010 and will not offer the AFD to new registrations.

Highest polluting cars

The announcement is part of plans to charge £25 for the highest polluting cars entering central London zone.

Michael Jameson, from Victoria, central London, paid £2,000 to convert his Hyundai Trajet 2.0 petrol car to run on LPG in September 2003.

He has discovered that he may now be forced to pay to travel in the congestion zone.

"It looks like I will have to pay the £25 per day charge because if my car ran on petrol it would be above their threshold, slightly," he said.

Totally unjust

"But, as it runs on LPG at a considerably lower CO2 level it should be still exempt.

"It's totally unjust. How does this encourage people to be green?"

A TfL spokesman said: "A very small number of car owners will go from qualifying for a 100% AFD to falling into the £25 a day CO2 charge bracket.

"That is why the AFD will not be phased out for almost two years, giving owners time to change their vehicle."

He added vehicles converted to use LPG can still use petrol, which is associated with CO2 emissions.
