Even under the AV system smaller parties have little chance. We need to co-operate under one banner. This is about having a larger voice and sharing ideas/policies, not losing identity. Please contact us.

EU Election Results PDF Print E-mail

Well, 3rd overall, 5th in Eastern England, what a shambles our government truly are.

Popular Alliance have to congratulate UKIP on their outstanding results in the EU Elections. We stand by our long term criticism of their leadership and were it not for their attitude within the party, we would still be keen flag waving members of that party.

We recognise that many of last week's UKIP voters will be those who do not follow their internal trials and tribulations, whilst it is Popular Alliance who have the real UKIP values, coupled with a level of internal respect that dwarfs that of UKIP.

Popular Alliance do not recognise that the European Union has any legal jurisdiction upon our shores, therefore to stand candidates would have been inconsistent with our policies. Not all political parties are hypocritical !!

It is also amazing that at a time when our government cannot help itself from digging its own crater to fall into, the LibDems still make so little ground. They lost on overall EU votes and picked up one additional MEP. The big winners again were the Tories who still have no concrete EU plan or policy, which sums up the lack of interest and understanding amongst the public.

The only way that Labour can claw back any ground now is if Simon Cowell publically declares that he feels sorry for them and aks for them to have a second chance. Lets face it, Gordon Brown is not running the party anymore, the unelected Mandleson is doing that. Meanwhile the cabinet is re-shuffling itself and quite where they dragged Glenys Kinnock from is anyone's guess. So much for democracy !!

As for the BNP gaining 2 MEPs, our main 3 parties only have themselves to blame.

This is going to be interesting !!

Prince of Darkness

Gordon now knows that when you sell your soul to the devil there will be a payback. He gambled on bringing Mandelson back to save his position which backfired so badly. This was one of the worst decisions he made and affected the country badly, indeed creating this period of Darkness. This shows without doubt that there is no loyalty in political circles.

As the gaggle of pretenders shuffle themselves around still spouting “New Labour” speak in a closed shop environment for the leadership contest, it has to be asked what real choice do the Labour faithful have?

It is now time for a total rethink about British politics and how we are governed. We can only hope that the days of Spin and manipulation are over!! Pigs might Fly!!
