It is with nodding regret that we witness the repeat violence in Egypt and count the 200+ dead last night in Syria.
Those who lauded the freedom after Mubarak was deposed in Egypt had very short-sighted views of the real world. Whoever was most organised and best financed would always win the power vacuum - the extremists !!
Those who use the muslim faith as a weapon seem to hate fellow muslims just as much as they denounce us as Western infidels. There is no excuse for their behaviour and callous killing, they are simply brainwashed bullies.
We read about all these peaceful religions, faiths, beliefs, sects and its "love your brother" rhetoric goes out of the window the very second someone disagrees with you and sides with your so-called enemy.
In the 21st century, people are still behaving like they live in caves and communicate in "ughs."
Whether its the middle East muslims and Christians, Northern Ireland, Croats and Serbs, or whatever, it has nothing to do with their peaceful scriptures.
Update 7th Feb - whilst not helpful, it has to be noted that it would be hypocritical of the Chinese and Russian governments to vote to end the clampdowns in Syria, because they would deal with similar events in their countries, in the same manner. Whilst we do not agree with many things these governments do, we wish our own government could be relied upon to stand up for our way of life with such conviction. We call for democracy in Syria whilst we can't even keep a dangerous terrorist in prison due to EU interference. Can we not sort out our own democracy before worrying about others ? Perhaps we could offload Abu Qatada to Brussels if they are so keen to free the monster ?
We now see a bunch of hot heads getting their knickers in a twist in Argentina over Prince William being posted to the Falkland Islands. For crying out loud, he's a rescue co-pilot. If an Argentinian trawler gets into trouble in the southern Atlantic, he'll be the first one there, trying to help saves lives. Can't these idiots get one mature thought into their brains ?
Popular Alliance is all for Great Britain going forward with our historic and traditional Christian belief as a guide for the population's outlook, but beyond that, we really do not want religion to get anywhere near politics. It will be used as a tool for separation and brainwashed bullying at every opportunity.
