Even under the AV system smaller parties have little chance. We need to co-operate under one banner. This is about having a larger voice and sharing ideas/policies, not losing identity. Please contact us.

The Problems

Our foreign policy can never be independent whilst we remain a member of the European Union. The deeper we allow ourselves to become immersed in the E.U, the more influence we lose in the world at large.

Once the European Union reaches if planned final state, it becomes The United States of Europe. At this point the United Kingdom is no more and we lose our seat on the top table of the United Nations and on the G8 Economic Group.

Our foreign policy will be European Policy, dictated from Brussels, with an EU Foreign minister acting for us.

When our government committed us to being a member of the European Defence Agreement they gave away more of our independence.

Popular Alliance does not agree that “the bridge of U.K” between Europe and USA can work while we remain in the E.U. Mounting problems in the Middle East caused by the illegal invasion of Iraq, and the terrible loss of approximately 200,000 civilian lives, many of them children, the present state of Basra, where British forces no longer have a “save zone”, make a mockery of Mr. Blair’s prediction that we would be welcomed as liberators. Helicopters to avoid the constant danger of roadside bombs ferry around most service personnel, and each week our casualty list grows.

Don’t forget that this carnage was voted through parliament with the support of the Conservative Party.

Our Solutions

Popular Alliance Foreign Policy would be to openly and fearlessly speak up for Great Britain, and we shall be guided only by what is in the interests of the British people.

We will defend our country and overseas interests, such as the Falkland Isles, and Gibraltar but not interfere with any other countries home affairs.

Maintain our very close alliance with the USA but not become subservient. We would end our membership of the EU and negotiate Free Trade agreements to replace it.

Popular Alliance would endeavour to give aid and promote trade with Third World countries. We would withdraw from the EU Rapid Response Force, but would allow our armed forces to serve under foreign commanders of military organisations such as the UN and NATO N.A.T.O and the UN would always have our fullest support.

Foreign Aid – Only to offer assistance and expertise in rebuilding and saving lives and not simply send money to foreign lands where it often falls in corrupt hands.

Commonwealth – maintain and improve trade links. Keep up military links too.

Trade – Once out of EU, review the way in which foreign money buys into UK companies, especially our utilities also to look into how British workers are easier to sack than European counterparts.

Extradition – All agreements should be 2-way treaties, which they are not at present.

Visa Requirements – These should also be reciprocal (eg) USA, Turkey immediately put into place a phased withdrawal of our forces from Iraq and Afghanistan.

We could then begin to repair the damage done to our relations with the countries of the Middle East. Never again would we commit forces from the United Kingdom into any situation such as Iraq.

Prince of Darkness

Gordon now knows that when you sell your soul to the devil there will be a payback. He gambled on bringing Mandelson back to save his position which backfired so badly. This was one of the worst decisions he made and affected the country badly, indeed creating this period of Darkness. This shows without doubt that there is no loyalty in political circles.

As the gaggle of pretenders shuffle themselves around still spouting “New Labour” speak in a closed shop environment for the leadership contest, it has to be asked what real choice do the Labour faithful have?

It is now time for a total rethink about British politics and how we are governed. We can only hope that the days of Spin and manipulation are over!! Pigs might Fly!!
