The Popular Alliance inaugural meeting was held on 27/01/07 in Leeds and was an outstanding success. A great turn out and a great day to boot.

We covered many subjects and elected our Party Officers who are: 

Brian Buxton          Party Leader

Liz Gilchrist            Party Secretary

Craig Chapman      Party Treasurer

Liz also has vast experience in these fields and will be a tremendous asset to our party.

New policies were discussed and approved, a lot of hard work having been done by Earl and Brian getting the new policies into shape and these should be on our website shortly.

We have a team of candidates ready to contest the local elections in May, and Popular Alliance will be putting forward sound sensible policies.  Any one wishing to join us and stand under our banner will be most welcome and given all support possible. 

We received another donation, and we also know we have even more members to look forward to joining our ranks.

The new website was approved and more content will be added shortly along with a Scottish site to highlight the problems our friends north of the border are facing as well as bringing some solutions to those very same problems.

We will also be looking at a website for Wales that will replicate the Scottish site but with Welsh concerns and problems that need to be addressed by the people who experience them.

It would seem we have made a flying start to 2007, and we look forward to listening to your views, ideas, and hopefully meeting  many more of you in the near future. 

A press release will be available in the very near future and our members can look forward to the minutes of the meeting which will have a greater breakdown of the day’s events.
