Yesterday the Muslim Council of Britain issued a sharia law demand in the guise of a “report” to ban all un-Islamic activities in schools. These targets include playground games, swimming lessons, school plays, parents’ evenings and even vaccinations.

And the calls for all children to be taught in Taliban-style conditions will be launched with the help of a senior Government education adviser. Yet again, the penny has still not dropped with this government as Professor Tim Brighouse, chief adviser to London schools, was due to attend the launch of the report at the capital’s biggest mosque.

His presence there was seen as “deeply worrying”, and a sign that the report was backed by the Government. One has to ask the question as to why are the government allowing this extremist organisation to dictate to education authorities on what they think is best for the child which includes total segregation from mainstream learning, citizenship and integration into a British way of life.

Girls are specifically targeted in this “male dominated” report and it is designed to ensure that female’s remain second class citizens within an extreme isolationist often racist ghetto culture.

It is about time the government put the MCB and its un-elected and un-represented leaders onto the banned organisation list and use criminal proceedings against them for inciting sex discrimination as well as encouraging extremism within Muslim communities.

And while the MCB insists that all British children should learn about Islam, it wants Muslims to have the right to withdraw their children from RE lessons dealing with Christianity and other faiths, which is totally unacceptable and should be resisted at all costs as the children then lose an opportunity to understand other cultures and leaves them wide open for brainwashing by the imams, preachers of hate, and Islamic mullahs.

The Popular Alliance realise there are people out there, of the Muslim faith, who are very serious about wanting to improve the lives of ordinary people who believe in Islam.

We totally support the views of Gina Khan, who believes education is the key to tackling extremism at its very roots, she is a very brave woman and needs everyone’s support to help tackle the madmen and lunatics, both in the Muslim community and the government. it's time to change the oppression that is now wide spread through the male dominated Muslim culture.

Muslim society, she says, is based on male domination and the oppression of women. The mosques are run entirely by men, the Sharia councils are run by men, the “voice” of the Muslim community is always male. And it is women who suffer as a result.

Three issues in particular enrage her: forced or arranged marriages for teenage girls, polygamy and the veil. Khan herself was pressurised into marriage at the age of 16 by her father, against her mother’s wish-es. “I was manipulated by my dad’s side of the family into a teen marriage — you know, you are a passport for someone from Pakistan. My mum wanted me to study and make something of my life because she knew what this country had to offer.”
