It has emerged the Home Secretary John Reid has put the British public at risk yet again. After the fiasco of escaped prisoners and “lost” illegal immigrants and criminals, it seems that the one man master of disaster has now ensured 280 known British criminals have not been entered onto on the Police National Computer.
Mr Reid has ordered an enquiry, but yet again, what is the point of trying to shut the stable door after the horse has bolted. We can assume that any enquiry would attach no blame to the incompetents running the show, no heads will roll, and no doubt we will all sit around waiting for the inevitable next cock up by this lax mismanaged government.
This is actually no surprise to the Popular Alliance, as we asked a question to the Home Office just before Christmas about profiling of terrorist suspects. We asked these questions to John Reid’s department, the reply we received was woeful to say the least, especially as they cannot tell the public how many were illegal immigrants plotting to blow up innocent people in the UK.
We would have thought such information would be a boon to security services operating at Airports, as such information would allow them to profile suspects and only target “high risk” individuals rather than slow down boarding and departure to the public.
Most other countries seem to adopt a common sense approach to terrorism, but if John Reid and his department cannot even be bothered to log known criminals onto the Police national computer, then the future of another atrocity by terrorists looks very likely indeed.
Full Story of Reid’s incompetence may be found HERE
