When are our overpaid MPs going to step out of their ivory towers and get into the real world?

The Leader of the House of Commons, Mr Straw allows them a vote which gets them £10.000 a year more, in addition to their extravagant salaries and whopping expenses. The patronising reason given by Mr Straw for this increase shows just how out of touch these people are.

This increase which amounts to £6.5 million was heartily welcomed by Labour MP for Burton, Mrs Dean, while at the same time the Labour controlled Staffordshire County Council is doing its best to close 22 Residential Care Homes due to lack of money. How much more hypocritical can they get?

Mrs Dean then states that all MPs who opposed the increase will still draw the money and spend it.  Will she be proved right?

To these MPs who Popular Alliance credit for acting honourably, we urge you to prove this, and show she is wrong, by publicly declaring your refusal to accept it
