The Popular Alliance are pleased to announce the election of both Brian Buxton and Craig Chapman to Stretton Parish Council, East Staffordshire, at their first attempt.
The Popular Alliance, a new party, had two candidates standing for the 2007 local elections and are delighted with the instant success achieved and congratulate both Councillors on their appointment success.
The clear mood for change demonstrated by the electorate throughout the UK illustrates that those who desire a career in politics can achieve success with a party with sound appealing policies and the Popular Alliance are now in discussion with a number of candidates who are interested in standing for the party at forthcoming elections.
If you would like to be considered for future candidacy please contact Liz Gilchrist - Party Secretary, by email:

European Elections are due to take place in 2009, so plenty of time to prepare campaigns and election strategy.
New Labour are bravely trying to apply "spin" to offset the flood of Press Articles following their seat losses throughout the UK, with Tony Blair leaving a "poisoned chalice" for the incoming New Labour Leader, Gordon Brown.
Clearly an opportunity beckons and the Popular Alliance intends to mount challenges at every forthcoming by-election throughout the UK.
