This is the state of British justice in today’s politically correct world of ensuring the criminal thugs are well looked after while the victims can go and screw themselves.

Blair and his “tough on crime” cronies who have done absolutely nothing to stop the thugs and scum from blighting the nation; have created a system where the thug gets a nice fat £42,500 payout in damages after a police dog bit the knife wielding scum bag and removed part of his ear.

The sickening part to this story was the poor police dog was put down for doing its job by stopping the grubby little scumbag from running away.

The award to the unnamed 19-year-old is believed to be the highest of its kind.

The dog, Bruce, was put down shortly after the attack five years ago despite a huge outcry and a campaign to save him.

The damages were last night condemned by rank and file officers.

Inspector Brian Stockham, chairman of the Sussex branch of the Police Federation, said: “I am shocked. It seems dreadful that we are paying out such sums of public money to someone involved in a street disturbance, something the public is deeply concerned about these days. “The force not only lost £42,500 but also an excellent police dog. It seems utterly perverse.”

German Shepherd Bruce and his handler PC Pete Tattum were breaking up a street fight involving youths with knives and bottles in Brighton in 2002. Officers shouted for the youngsters to stop but the teenager, who was then only 14, fled and was caught by Bruce, who bit off part of one ear.

The Popular Alliance has to ask why did the dog have to lose its life for doing its job?, and not only does the scumbag get £42500 compensation, the tax payer gets the nice bill as the cost of training the police dog and its operational life costs amount to around £50000 pounds plus add the court costs and investigation time and we will find this thug has probably cost the taxpayer something like £150000

We say this is a total disgrace and the scumbag should be fined the total amount for the destruction of the dog and its operational life costs and while we are at it; lets put some real fear back into the pondlife and trash that now rule our streets.
