sleazeGordon Brown said he had the "new ideas and vision" to govern Britain as he launched his long-awaited campaign to lead Labour and become prime minister

Standing in front of his campaign logo, "Gordon Brown for Britain", Mr Brown pledged to tour the country to "listen and learn" about people's concerns.

He also said "One of my first acts as prime minister would be to restore power to Parliament in order to build the trust of the British people in our democracy.

"Government must be more open and more accountable to Parliament - for example in decisions about peace and war, in public appointments and in a new ministerial code of conduct."

However, just a couple of days after this pledge, Brown falls at the first hurdle and rejected calls to block a controversial move by MPs to get out of freedom of information laws.

MPs pushed the plan closer to becoming law earlier in what critics called a "shameful day for Parliament".

The Popular Alliance have pointed out on more than one occasion that along with the fraudulent and corrupt European Union, we also have a large number of career politicians from all main parties who wish to be exempt from any scrutiny of their wasteful and shameful spending of tax payers money.

Gordon Brown has shown the nation he is to carry on the sleaze, lies and spin as well as the utter contempt of the British people.

The conservatives initiated this bill showing they are still a party of sleaze Lately yhey have shown to be just a clone of Blair’s Nu-Labour, however the snakes and failures of Labour MP’s saw a great opportunity to stop anyone finding out about their business and supported this disgraceful bill

Please find a list of those who do not want their expenses or business to be made public and if they are in your area, write to them and tell them they are a disgrace to politics
